How the Game Works
This RPG is set up in a basic season driven plot. There are no point systems or anything of that nature. Each “season” is run by a season moderator and that person has control of the events of the game and moving the plot as well as the bad guys that are associated with that particular season. Generally there is a new bad guy or organization with every season, but that is not set in stone. Between seasons there are “breaks” or interim-seasons where there is no guided plot and there is freestyle play. This is a time period for players to do what they like with their characters at their own discretion and is also a break between the constant events that take place during the regular seasons.

The length of the seasons and the breaks vary considerable depending on the current status of the game and the wishes of the players.

How to Get a Character
Any character that you wish to play must be approved by a moderator prior to becoming an active member. For original characters you must submit the Original Character Form (this is found in the Files section on the yahoo group website or the RPG’s website). After you have submitted your character and received approval you may post for your character and enter the game.

Please keep in mind that this game is set in an “alternate timeline” and that it has been many years past the events that occurred in DBZ. Also, DBGT is not considered part of this series and those events are neglected.

All characters currently in use within the game are found in the Database section under “Current Characters”. The “Recurring Characters” table lists characters that may be seen periodically throughout the game. Basic information about these characters are found in the database and it is the responsibility of the player to keep this information up-to-date after their character has been approved by the moderator.

Also remember that any character that you wish to play in the game must be approved by the moderator. If, at any time, you wish to play more than one character, you will need to submit additional forms for approval. Most members tend to play a few characters at a time and that is more than welcome as long as you keep up with your characters.

Guidelines and Other Suggested Readings
In the Files section of the yahoo group website or on the RPG’s website there are several guides and miscellaneous information available. Specifically it is suggested that the following guides be read prior to beginning the game:

  • Reiseikian Guide
  • The Jade Guard Guide
  • Season Summaries

Reading these guides will prepare you for background information that are related to many characters as well as the plots found during the seasons.

Additional Information
Rules for the game can be found in the Database section. Please make sure you are familiar with all of the rules and if you do not clearly understand them then please ask for clarification. Rules are strictly enforced and failure to comply with rules on numerous occasions and after warnings have been issued are means for removal from the group.
